Frequently Asked Questions
Many families and adults have similar questions when they begin considering therapy or a psychological evaluation. Below are answers to some of the questions that come up most often.
Therapy Questions
Who do you work with?
I work with children, teens, young adults, and adults. My practice focuses on autism-informed therapy, ADHD support, parent consultation, and psychological evaluations.
Do I need a diagnosis to begin therapy?
No. A formal diagnosis is not required to start therapy. Many clients begin while exploring whether autism or ADHD may be part of their experience.
Are parents involved in therapy?
Parent involvement is an important part of therapy for children. For teens and young adults, involvement is collaborative and developmentally appropriate. For adults, therapy is individual and confidential.
How long does therapy last?
The length of therapy depends on your goals. Some clients seek short-term support for a transition or specific challenge, while others prefer longer-term work.
Psychological Assessment & Testing Questions
What types of evaluations do you provide?
I provide autism testing, ADHD testing, learning disability evaluations, and gifted/academic assessments for children. I also offer ADHD testing via telehealth nationwide and in-person autism assessments for adults in Denver.
Will I receive a written report?
Yes. All comprehensive evaluations include a detailed written report and a feedback session with clear recommendations.
Can evaluations support school accommodations?
Yes. Testing can support IEPs, 504 plans, gifted placement, and other academic accommodations when appropriate.
Do you offer telehealth testing?
Adult ADHD evaluations are available via telehealth in PSYPACT-participating states. Autism testing for children and adults is conducted in person in Denver.
Telehealth & PSYPACT
What is PSYPACT?
PSYPACT allows licensed psychologists to provide telehealth services across participating states. This makes therapy and certain evaluations accessible even if you are not located in Colorado.
Is telehealth secure?
Yes. Sessions are conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms.
Fees & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
I am primarily a self-pay practice. Payment is due at the time of service.
Can I use out-of-network benefits?
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide documentation that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
What are your fees?
Fees vary depending on the type of service. We can review current rates during consultation.
