Helping Families Find Clarity and Support
Thoughtful therapy and evaluations that help children, adults, and families move forward with clearer answers
About Dr. Courtney Paisley
Hi, I’m Dr. Courtney Paisley, a licensed psychologist who works with children, teens, adults, and families through therapy and psychological evaluations.
I specialize in working with neurodiverse individuals and families, including those navigating autism, ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, and developmental concerns. Whether someone is coming in for therapy or an evaluation, I focus on helping people better understand how their mind works and what kinds of support can actually help them move forward.
One of the things that matters most to me is making sure families and individuals don’t feel like they have to figure everything out on their own. I see myself as one part of a larger support system, and I often work alongside parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to make sure everyone is working toward the same goals.
My hope is that people leave our work together feeling more confident, more understood, and more hopeful about the path ahead. When someone has a clearer understanding of themselves and the right support around them, meaningful progress becomes much more possible.
Approaches I Use in Therapy
I draw from several evidence-based approaches, but the most important thing is adapting the work to the person in front of me. Everyone thinks, learns, and communicates differently, so therapy needs to reflect that.
Autism-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is adapted to fit how each person processes information. I use structured skill-building, visual supports, and clear language to reduce anxiety, strengthen emotional regulation, and build practical coping tools that translate into daily life.
Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT)
PRT is an autism-specific, child-centered intervention that focuses on motivation, communication, and core developmental skills. It emphasizes engagement and connection rather than compliance.
Behavioral Interventions
I incorporate practical strategies that support flexibility, routines, independence, sleep, and daily functioning, helping skills extend beyond the therapy room.
Family Collaboration
Therapy is most effective when everyone is aligned. I work closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other providers to create consistency and meaningful progress across environments.
What Guides My Work
I offer both in-person therapy in Denver and Parker, Colorado, as well as telehealth services for clients who prefer to meet virtually.
Through PSYPACT authorization, I am able to provide telehealth therapy in participating states, making it possible for teens and young adults to receive consistent care even when they move for school or live outside Colorado.
